Every year since 1952 Sherwood has held their annual Robin Hood Festival.  This year the festival falls on July 15 & 16.  Sherwood’s Robin Hood Festival is just plain ol’ smalltown American family fun.  Food vendors and crafts booths will be on hand and you can partake of entertainment on both a main stage and a family stage.  

 

On Saturday morning a parade will wind thru the sleepy Sherwood downtown with floats tossing candy to children.  As it is a Renaissance themed festival, there is a customary knighting ceremony (recognizing community volunteers in Sherwood), a hunt for a hidden medallion and of course an archery contest.
